Goals...

Hey guys!
Yesterday I wrote about my beautiful country. I hope you read it. I'm quite excited and happy because the Lord has been extremely good with me. Many things had happen during this week and sometimes I was feeling destroyed or even tired but God was there with me telling what to do and how to do it but the most important thing was that He was giving me peace. Today we didn't any homework so I thought I should take advantage of the time and try to advance in some projects and do things that I needed. I got this free time so I decided to write a post about something that I had been thinking in the past month; GOALS! Humans use to have goals in their lifes, maybe they have goals for when they get married, or goals for what to study etc.

I must say that I have many goals for my life regarding my spiritual relationship with God, my grades, my future as a musician etc. All of them are good goals and projects but I must say that if God is not IN your project or goal then you won't accomplish them (or you will but eventually you will fail). I understood that if God puts a dream in you that means He will make sure that dream get to be real. In order for you to know if a goal is according to God's will you will probaly have to ask yourself: "Why do I want this?", "How will this help the entire world?", "Is this according to God's laws?" etc. When I have a goal or dream then I ask the Lord if He is agree with it because I don't to have hope in things that will not be successful. Jesus had a goal: "Save us and give us the Holy Spirit" and I must say that He accomplished His goal but it was because Jesus' goal was according to God's purpose. If you have a goal try to be calm and try to be patient because things don't work if you do them in a hurry. Pray every day for you dream, maybe people will start talking about and in the worst cases they will criticize you, but don't let them make you feel you can't. A typical example of a goal that most of the people criticize is Music. If you want to be a musician and people ask you what is that you want to be and you tell them you want to be a musician they will probaly tell you that you are going to pass hunger, you are going to be in the streets etc. I read something quite interesting phrase that said: "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life." -Confucius.   This phrase really changed my mind and point of view because in some way it's true. If you choose something you actually like and enjoy then you won't feel it's a work but you will feel that you are doing what you like. Maybe you don't see that your can come true but let me tell you that if God is in the business then you have completely sure your dream or goal will come true. Remember, PRAISE God in the good moments and in the bad ones too. He knows what He does.
Praise
Follow your dream but first follow God. Try to be patient and positive about what you are going to do. Believe that God can do it and He will. There is only person you can completely trust, and that person is God (Holy Spirit, Jesus). God will never fail you.
I hope you are doing well. I bless you!

My 5 Star Country...

I bless you all people!
This Monday (Sept. 23rd) was my birthday and I totally had a nice time with my family and friends. Now I'm 16 years old and I feel that God gave me all of these years full of blessings and amazing moments, but what I believe the most is that God wants for me to praise Him with all the years that I have left. I have many projects and dreams in my mind regarding my future. For now I'll simply enjoy these years and take advantage of the time.As a Senior I feel that we have many work to do but I think that's good because then we will the sense of responsibility which I think everyone must have. In this opportunity I want to share with all of you about my BEAUTIFUL country and its awesomess.

Honduras! The land where God will show His Glory by placing this country in its best moments but most important the land where God reigns. Honduras is a country which its people is characterized for being humble and friendly. I must say that it is a very small country, geographically speaking, but we have so much beautiful places and food to eat. Did you know that we have the 2nd biggest coral reef in the world? One single post wouldn't be enough to describe all of its awesomeness. Hondurans literally love soccer and they suffer when our team looses a game but they also celebrate when our teams makes it to the finals. I'm not very into soccer so I really don't feel any emotion when our teams makes it to the finals. We also have equisite dishes such as the "baleada", "yuca con chicharrón" etc. Honduras has wonderfuls beaches and touristics places where you can definitely enjoy summer vacations, by the way, it's a fact: "Every person that comes from a foreign country and visit Honduras will have the necessity to come back". ¡Hablamos Español! That means we speak Spanish. Because of the Geographic place and the way Honduras' mountains are, we export a lot of coffee and bananas. Our coffee is one of the best coffees you can actually find all over the world. Our native dance is called: "Cique" which basically is a dance in which the ladies have  big dresses and the boys wear hats, jeans, white shirt, and guarachas (typical sandal). Honduras has 18 departments and all of the them have something special and different. If you really want to have a vacation that will always be in your mind then come to us! There are so many activities you can do here such as canopy, riding, diving and so much more. I do believe that this country will prosper and will show the whole world that God loves us!
                                    Honduras

Honduras, Honduras! How beautiful are you! I declare that your years coming will be full of blessings and full of GOOD news!
And to all the people I just want to bless you again and declare that everything you do will be according to God's will.
Blessings!

My Grandmother!

Hello Folks!
I’m very happy with the Lord’s mercy upon me. Everytime I have I’m seeking Him He is right there waiting for me with His arms wide open. You can see God EVERYWHERE! You can see Him in the beautiful flowers, in the bright sun, in the blue ocean; He is there.

In this opportunity I want to talk to you guys about a very special lady in my life. She is my hero and I loved her since I knew she was going to be part of my life. This lady is my grandmother (my mom’s mom). Her name is Concepción Rivera Sánchez. She lives in the city of El Progreso, Yoro here in Honduras. Every time you have the opportunity to have a conversation with her she will start talking to you about her life in the mountains and how was she treated when she was a child. When she was around 2 years-old, her biological mother took my grandma to her aunt’s house (she was giving my grandmother in adoption). She was living with her aunt for about 5 years, she enjoyed being there because the lady was very kind to her, she treated her as the queen she was. When she turned 7 years old, her biological mother stole my grandma while she was at the garden. She tells us that her biological mother was unkind and she didn’t love her at all. Sometimes I think she had moments in she preferred to kill herself instead of living with her mother. Many years passed and she turned 18 years old, she decided to come to “El Progreso” which in those times was one of biggest cities. She had 7 children here (the smallest child is my mom). Next year she is turning 90 years old! I’m very excited because she seems she has strength to keep going. All of her sons and daughters respect her and try to give her the best they can. My grandma is lovely, kind, hilarious, happy and enthusiastic.

The Bible says that if you honor your parents then God will bless you and will give you long years. Even though my grandma’s parents weren’t the best she honored them in everything she could. I really appreciate and she definitely is an easy-going person. Sometimes she gets angry with us because we bother her a lot but after an hour she gives us chocolates. I hope she gets to live to 130 years!
So now you know a bit about my grandma, I hope you found it interesting.
Blessings!

We need God.

Hey Folks,
Last Saturday was "Marching day" and I had the privilege of playing the lyra which was a very tired trudge. Many schools were also marching and we got to see many friends from other schools and definitely we enjoyed the path. We didn't have school on Monday nor on Friday meaning that I was here at home and I had plenty of time to enjoy my holidays which were quite short. While I was here at home I was listening to music and there was this song that my homeroom teacher recommended me that I was listening. This song is named "Desert Soul" from Rend Collective Experiment.
                    Sing The Lord's Praise
I was totally edified while I was listening to this specific song because of its lyrics. Basically what this song tells us is that we need God, but we need to "need Him more", our life without Him is simply a desert soul. I'm totally agree with this song's lyrics because it's so true and makes you think about what would your life be without the Creator of Heaven and Earth. We are actually nothing; simply dust. Many people that really don't know God and they haven't receive Jesus in their lifes are not 100% happy. Only in Him you can find your complete happiness. You have to seek Him every day! Sometimes you feel that God is hidden but He is actually wanting for you to seek Him even more. When you feel that you are in troubles He will be there helping you. Our God is always with us.
                          Praise you in the storm
I must sadly say that many people now at days are without Him and don't seek Him anymore. It's quite sad to see people that are in serious troubles and that the only person that can help them is Jesus. I want for you to think about God's mercy. Did you know that we all deserved death because of our sins but now because OF JESUS' blood we can choose if we want to live an eternal happinnes or if we want to suffer forever? God loved us first, don't you think He deserves our love and respect?

Let's be wise let's be with the only God that can make us choose the right decisions and the Only one that can give us happiness.
Blessings!

"The box"

Hey humans!
Today I want to share with all you about my beautiful God. For some reason this week I've been very grateful with Him and I just want to praise Him because of what He is. All my life depends on Him, if He is not with me then I don't want to live; period. God is always with His arms wide open to receive whoever wants to meet Him. He loved us so much that He sent His ONLY Son here to Earth to die for us.
                            physics
In this opportunity I want to share a little "testimony" that happened to me about a year ago in which the Holy Spirit is the protagonist. As you know, I'm in High School, meaning that I already receive Physics class and MANY people think that Physics was made to torture them. I think that Physics is amazig because I have the best teacher and that teacher is the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit have been always right there with me, helping me, telling me what to do, how to do it etc. There was this time that I won't forget at all in which we were studying in Physics a topic that was quite difficult for all of us and we had a homework to do. I was very stress because I didn't understand it at all and I had homework to turn in the next day. My sister tried to explain to me how to do it but still I didn't get what she was telling me. I spent all the afternoon and part of the night trying to do this homework but nothing was written on my paper! My best choice was giving up, I closed my book and notebook and went to take me a shower because I knew everything was lost. While I was taking my shower I LITERALLY saw a hand (which looked similar to my sister's hand) that was showing me how to solve the exercise problem I had and a voice told me: "DO THIS BOX". I was in awe! After watching that hand showing me what to do and the voice telling me how to do it I ran and took my book and notebook to start solving the problem. Everything sounded logical. I did my problem but when I was getting to the answer I noticed something was wrong: THE ANSWER WAS NOT CORRECT! I was disapointed and really felt that everything was coming down. I went to my room and asked God what was wrong in my problem. For the second time I heard a voice that told me: "Your measurements are not correct", I was again in awe because the "voice" was totally right! I took my notebook and re-checked my measurements and gues what: MY MEASUREMENTS WERE WRONG! I was so very thankful with the Holy Spirit because even though I never asked Him at the beginning He helped me. When I went to school the next day I was so in awe that I tried to explain to everyone the way I learned the topic but no-one understood the way I learned it. This makes me think that God has a special treat to every single person.

My heart is speechless since then and I'm looking forward for more "explanations" from Him because beleive it or not there is no such thing in the World that makes you happier than a conversation with the Holy Spirit.
Hopefully this can make you realize that the Holy Spirit, God and Jesus do exist! They are willing to help you and willing to love you.
Blessings to all of you!

The Intentions of your Heart...

Hello!
I want to share with all of you something that I learned and that really edified my life. I'm very grateful with the Lord because He always talk to you in the perfect moment and He makes sure the message He wants to give you get to you someway. In this post I want to express what happened to me (which is personal) but maybe this helps someone to understand why things doesn't happen the way they want.

Psalm 34:18 (Clouded Heart)
This is my Senior year and I'm very happy I must say, but something changed in my life in this summer vacation. First let me tell you that I like traveling (although I haven't gone to any foreign country) and like discovering new places. Since I'm in 9th grade I've been looking for any country that can offer me a scholarship or any christian program that can take me somewhere else. All my High School Years I was aware and applying as much as I could to foreign countries. I must say that I was impatient and I wanted an answer as soon as possible but no Program answered me. Many people (especially young people) may be passing through this and may be feeling that there is no answer for them, that maybe God doesn't listen to them. I prayed as much as I could but still no answer. Giving up was the best choice I had in those moments, EVERYTHING changed when I went to church a Friday Night and a truly daughter of God preached about this same sittuation. I do beleive that God was speaking through her mouth, I was amused and blessed. This preacher (who is my home-room teacher) was telling us her experience in this same sittuation and she shared with us the following that I want to share with all of you because I truly beleive it's going to help you in some way or another.
She gave us 5 steps that we have to make in order to achieve what we are looking for but in this opportunity I will share with you only 3 steps.:

1. Scan your heart: This step made me think a lot because I asked myself: Why do I want to get out of my country? Which is the purpose? Is my heart wishing something that God doesn't want? Many questions came to my mind and I realized that I wanted to leave because I wanted something new, I was tired of doing the same things every day. God spoke to me! He was telling me that it was not the time, that my heart had to be prepared before going out there to the world.

2. God always answer but not always the way we want: Ha! I loved this one, because this makes thing that God is seeking the best for us. He knows what is good for us so He won't give you something that can make you bad.

3. Give to the Lord what He deserves: The Lord is the owner of Silver and Gold so actually He doesn't need our money. But, why does He asks us to give Him offerings and Tithes? What God is actually receiving is our heart, if we depend on money or in HIM. If you want to be successful... then give Him what He deserves; your heart!

Yesterday we went to a College Fair in which Universities in the U.S.A were giving information of Scholarships. I thank God that my heart was prepared and I didn't have that feeling of applying everywhere.
I really hope this post may be usful for you and may edified you.
I bless you!

Back to "reality"...

Hello to all the people that reads this blog (which is good to know that you took your time to read this), let me tell you that I just came back to school and I'm already a Senior, meaning that this year is my graduation year. I'm looking forward!
It's the beginning of the year and EVERYTHING has changed.  The governement made a good decision in changing some stuffs in the education here in Honduras, for example, we used to pass our classes with a 60% out of 100% but now we must pass our class with a 70%! It has been a TREMENDOUS change because some students used to pass their classes with a 60%. This is an exelent decision because now the students should  study more and try to keep their grades a bit higher.

I want to share with all of you guys a quite amazing experience I had learning chemistry in class with our teacher Mr. José Popoff. As always, the first week of school is all about "diagnostic tests" in which teachers measure the level in which you are. Mr. JP introduced us into a very interesting web-page called exitticket.org, I must say that I totally enjoyed this web-page (especially because it worked perfectly in my phone) and I'm looking forward to use it in the future. This web-page is very creative, very well organized and it's an innovative tool for learning. At least in my assignment, what ExitTicket offered us was a "quiz" of multiple choice and everytime you had a correct answer a "smiley emoticon" will showed up, and everytime your answer was not correct then a "sad emoticon" will showed up, I really had a good time!
Let's make our best in this school year!

This is a useful advice to start your new school year:

-Give this school year to God: You may be wondering why am I saying thi but let me tell you it works! When you pray to the Lord and tell Him that you are nothing without Him, that you need His knowledge and His wisdom then He will respond to you and definitely will help you.

I'll be writing more posts twice a week or even more (for the sake of a project we have in school). I bless you all in Jesus' name.
